Supportive Development of Phonological Awareness Through Musical Activities According to Edgar Willems

It is important that before entering primary school, the child’s phonological awareness supported by a variety of different activities whereby based on well-developed hearing ability. Hearing part musical support/encourage with development rhythmic and melodic music listening. In this article, we aimed to investigate effects derived from methodological system Edward Willems through quasi-experimental study 70 children aged 4 7 years. Thirty-five them received 1 hr instruction per week for 6 months (experimental group) other 35 no such support (control group). We tested each at beginning program after months. The results analysis covariance showed there was statistically significant difference in between experimental control groups favor group. research confirmed Edgar are good effective means promoting awareness, especially early childhood.
